From the time she was a certified regular and special education teacher working with students on the Autism Spectrum, Jenny Currie knew she loved people.  She eventually recognized that her heartbeat was in helping foster mental and emotional health outside of the traditional classroom.  After teaching for a few years, she went to graduate school and obtained a master's in counseling.  From there, she earned her LPC (licensed professional counselor) in Connecticut and then her LPCC (licensed professional clinical counselor) when she moved to Ohio.  For the last 11 years, Jenny has gained valuable experience working with those who have a variety of mental health issues, including substance abuse, eating disorders,  and trauma disorders, in both residential and outpatient settings.  In 2015, Jenny began her own private practice in Connecticut and then opened an additional practice in 2021 in Ohio where she resides.  Because she has retained dual licensure, she provides telehealth to those in Connecticut and telehealth or in-person therapy to those in Ohio.  In 2022 she changed the name of the practice to Fresh Start Therapy and Wellness, LLC, in preparation to expand and reach an even greater number of hurting people.
